Children today practiced on the iPads as a whole group to log into iStation to work on different math skills.  IStation is an innovative reading and math program and includes Spanish programs that immerse students in an engaging and interactive environment and inspire them to learn.  It is an animated and interactive program that explores reading concepts like: phonological/phonemic awareness, listening comprehension, vocabulary, alphabetic principle, and book print awareness.  The math program uses catchy tunes to teach concepts like counting, addition, sorting, cardinality, and shapes.  Teachers can easily track progress of the children in their classrooms.  Pictured are children in Mrs. Peak’s afternoon preschool class working on math skills today.
