The USD 503 Golf Team was presented with a $500 check from the Parsons Police Department Legacy Fund, prior to the start of the PPD's Legacy Fund Golf Tournament at the Katy Golf Course Saturday morning. PHS Golf Coach Paul Duroni said the funds will be used to purchase golf push carts. Any added donations to the program would help to purchase more golf club sets and bags, as it is equipment most students cannot afford, and the school is wanting to expand the program. Duroni thanked the PPD for the wonderful gift. Chief Robert Spinks said the Legacy Fund also provides for other community projects like Shop With A Cop, and a scholarship through the Labette Community College Foundation.
