Teamwork makes the dream work, Mr. Medina's class work together in a team building activity during Ms. Ryan's counseling special class! Working together is so much fun!

Today in Ms. Ryan's counseling class the classes participated in a teamwork tower building activity

Garfield staff loves to build relationships! Mrs. Tierney was privileged to be this student's teacher last year. The bond created began because we are both redheads and had both experienced teasing because of our hair. This morning we shared breakfast and a book.

Winter is quickly approaching so recess time is becoming more and more valuable. These students enjoying hanging around together at recess on Wednesday.

Garfield rejoined volunteers decorating Stella Wells Christmas Trees this year, with a Nintendo game themed tree. Students made all the ornaments that coincide with their school theme, "Level Up." Teachers had fun decorating the tree with all the bright, colorful ornaments!

Ms. Vaughn is proud to announce that Brogan has leveled up in Xtra Math! He has passed all four levels. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division!! Way to be a goal getter!!

Garfield's tree for Stella Wells! The ornaments were made by the students!!

Emmalynn has leveled up in Xtra Math!! She has passed subtraction and is now starting multiplication! Ms. Vaughn is so proud!

What's better than soaking up some sunshine and a good book on a beautiful afternoon? Ms. Vaughn's class thinks it's pretty wonderful.

Congratulations Audrey for making it to the 50 point AR club!

Congratulations to this little Viking! He reached his AR goal and received a Happy Meal for his achievement!
Keep up the good work!

We read all about the creator of the balloon floats used in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. Then kiddos got creative and made their own. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

Congrats to Zoey she has earned
100 AR points.

Wow, 200 AR points! These girls love to read.

What a fun two day!! We read "Balloons over Broadway" and how the big balloons made it into the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade. We decorated our balloon and then walked around the school to see all the creative balloons. We finished our week with a "Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving" and enjoyed the same "thanksgiving dinner" that consisted of Jelly beans, popcorn, pretzels, toast, and ice cream sundaes! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Proud of Audrey for passing her subtraction facts!

Birthday twins of the week!

We ended our day in Mrs. Jacquinot's room with a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving! Our snacks consisted of popcorn, pretzels, jelly beans, toast and sundaes with toppings! Hope you all have a wonderful Holiday!

The students in Mrs. Jacquinot's class had fun learning about Balloons Across Broadway! I'm hoping they all get up Thanksgiving Day and watch the Macy's Day Parade!

Students at Garfield read the book "Balloons Over Broadway," the story of the marionette maker who helped start the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Students then decorated their own balloons and put them on display in the halls for everyone to parade past and see.
