Second graders who met their yearly AR goal went to Soar in Joplin today to celebrate. The ninja course was a popular attraction today. These students loved challenging themselves on it.

Our class learned how school was different 150 years ago then wrote a paper about how it has changed. Then the papers were entered in a contest at Community National Bank. The contest was 3rd grade through 5th grade. Our very own Natalea Shultz won 3rd place. Congratulations, we are all very proud of you!!

Lots of jumping and fun was had on our AR celebration!

Third grade visited the George Washington Carver Memorial. They had a great time walking trails and exploring in the science lab.

We hope you enjoyed Garfield's Color Walk!!

The annual second grade read a thon was so much fun. Students read alone and also took turns reading to each other. They wore pajamas and got cozy in class.

I love how little Vikings support the bigger Vikings. Today we made a sign to cheer on the tennis team as they went to state. Then students made signs to show the graduates how proud we are of them. 4 students in class have siblings graduating. Mrs. Tierney also has a senior.

The color walk is always so much fun! It was great getting to see current and last students outside of class. The weather was perfect for the fun Garfield tradition.
