3rd grade has been making "textured" cakes in Art with Mrs. Shields after learning about how different types of lines can be used to create visual texture. They looked at artist Wayne Thiebaud's cakes and deserts for inspiration!

Pennies for Poems in the Park 2024 was a success! The weather was perfect and the students got to show off their skills reading poetry.
Team Tierney had so much fun reading poems for guests that came to Garfield's poetry jam at the park.
We celebrate success every day at Garfield. These students work hard to meet goals every day! Here we have some students who met Study Island and AR goals. We are so proud of them and these smiles show how proud they are of themselves!
