First graders made the best memories at the farm this week! We peeked at farm animals and learned about honeybees from local beekeepers. Students used pumpkins donated by PSH Deep Roots Greenhouse for math and science experiments. Students designed and painted their pumpkins to use with for a descriptive writing lesson. We love fall! 🍂🐑🐝🚜

After reading "When Grandma Gives You A Lemon Tree" by Jamie L.B. Dennahan, students in Mrs. Kitterman's first grade class worked together to make freshly-squeezed lemonade as a tasty afternoon treat. The story teaches children about the value of gifts they may not see at first.
