
Mrs. Peak's preschoolers made a prediction of whether a pumpkin would sink or float on Tuesday and on Wednesday they found out the answer, pumpkins float!!!










Preschoolers in Mrs. Peak's afternoon class made predictions and saw the answer today of whether a pumpkin will sink or float.











First graders made the best memories at the farm this week! We peeked at farm animals and learned about honeybees from local beekeepers. Students used pumpkins donated by PSH Deep Roots Greenhouse for math and science experiments. Students designed and painted their pumpkins to use with for a descriptive writing lesson. We love fall! 🍂🐑🐝🚜

Mrs. Manley's first graders participated in a pumpkin investigation and ended the morning painting their pumpkins! What a great Friday. 💛💙

Kindergarten enjoyed pushing and pulling friends in baskets for science stations this morning. Friction and weight were our obstacles to overcome!




Firefighters visited with kindergarteners about fire safety this week! 🚒

After reading "When Grandma Gives You A Lemon Tree" by Jamie L.B. Dennahan, students in Mrs. Kitterman's first grade class worked together to make freshly-squeezed lemonade as a tasty afternoon treat. The story teaches children about the value of gifts they may not see at first.

Preschoolers were enjoying seeing the firefighters today at Lincoln. They learned about fire safety and then went to see the fire truck.

Mrs. Kitterman’s class finished their pumpkin week off with some pumpkin painting! Thank you Parsons State Hospital for the pumpkins!




Elders from Presbyterian Manor visited first graders in Olivia Manley's class Tuesday as part of the Bridging the Gap program. The group colored together and learned more about each other. On alternate weeks the first graders visit Presby and play BINGO with the residents.
