After learning about the differences between abstract and realistic artwork this week in Mrs. Shields' art class, 5th grade started drawing an animal of their choosing, using the type of style they are "drawn" to: realistic or abstract.
First grade is ready for the Chiefs!
Preschool students in Mrs. Finley's class found a variety of things to play with as they went to different stations around the room. Each station affords different learning opportunities for students as they play.
Two of Mrs. Hicks students paint a sea horse using water colors that coordinate with the color word Mrs. Hicks tells them to use.
Using their fingers, Mrs. Winder's students follow her in drawing an imaginary letter "I" in the air several times, before they make attempts on paper.

The Technology Student Association (TSA) is selling luminaries for $5 to honor survivors, those battling cancer, and to remember loved ones. The luminaries will decorate Forest Park on the night of Relay for Life - Sept. 9th. We are taking donations through Sept. 8th. We will have a 50/50 pot at the Parsons/LCHS football game on Sept. 8th and also be selling luminaries that night.
